HOW TO ENABLE WORDPRESS MAJOR RELEASE UPDATE

Enabling auto updates makes life easier for you, you just need to set it up and wordpress handle all the latest release updates for you. To enable autp updates, you just need to add a single line of code to your wordpress configuration file.

1. Login to you Cpanel , Open the file manager to the root folder of your wordpress installation directory
2. Locate and wp-config.php
Enter the code below

define(‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, true);

HOW TO ENABLE PLUGINS AUTO UPDATE

To enable your plugins to automatically update when a new version is release, add this line of code below in the same wp-config.php file

define( ‘AUTO_UPDATE_PLUGIN’, ‘__return_true’ );

HOW TO ENABLE WORDPRESS THEMES AUTO UPDATE

To enable the automatic updates of your wordpress themes when a new version is released, add another line of code in the wp-config.php file also

define ( ‘AUTO_UPDATE_THEME’, ‘__return_true’ );
